EVC is Volvo Penta’s common platform for engine and driveline management. Based on CAN-bus technology used in cars, trucks and planes, it is developed by Volvo Penta for marine use. With electronic precision, EVC manages engine, transmission, controls, instrumentation and other onboard functions.

EVC constantly monitors every aspect of the engine and driveline and immediately alerts the driver if anything unusual happens. With a display at the helm, this is reported in plain text and the driver can take correct measures. Should a serious problem occur, EVC protects the engine by reducing engine power, still enabling you to drive your boat safely.
